Membership Criteria

Criteria
for Full Membership in the New Jersey Theatre Alliance
|
|
NJTA
professional standards and orientations include:
- Located
in New Jersey
- Not-for-profit,
tax-exempt, 501(c)3 or equivalent status
- A
minimum of one year production history operating under a
standard Equity contract or on a Letter of Agreement with
Equity referenced to a standard Equity contract (COST, CORST,
LORT, TYA, SPT). Guest Artist and Special Appearance contracts
are not considered standard
- A
minimum of two weeks rehearsal per self-produced production
- A
minimum of two self-produced productions per year for two
consecutive years
- A
minimum of one full-time paid professional director or manager
and a paid fulltime or part-time support staff
- A
minimum of one year participation in the NJTA Associate
Membership Program
- An
updated board-adopted Long Range Plan
- A
commitment to the mission and spirit of the New Jersey Theatre
Alliance
The
New Jersey Theatre Alliance also has an Associate
Membership Program for young and developing theatres.
Once a theatre has been accepted as an associate they are
eligible for mentoring services that will assist them in becoming
an Equity theatre and fulfilling the requirements of membership.
