with billing/bookkeeping.
Qualifications: computer literate (we currently use a 12-year
old MAC in the office, but if someone is literate they can
easily pick up on it); able to work in tight quarters; easy to
get along with. It isn't a set day every week right now,
but might end up being that.

Ushers
Volunteers for ushering are needed at McCarter Theatre
in Princeton, New Jersey for all series including Theater,
Music, Dance, World, Passport, and Jazz. Duties include
assembling playbills, collecting tickets, and guiding patrons to
their seats. In an atmosphere of congeniality, volunteers
are offered complimentary refreshments and when available, seats
for the performances.

The New Jersey Theatre Alliance is looking for enthusiastic
volunteers to help out with their 25th Anniversary fundraising
event: The Ovation Gala: 25 Years of Standing Up for Theatre.
This event will take place on October 19, 2006 at the
Pleasantdale Chateau. Duties may include: checking in
registered guests, passing out mystery envelopes, and
assisting the special guest speakers for the evening. Volunteers will
experience an inside knowledge of running a black-tie event, as
well as gaining work experience with an award-winning statewide
nonprofit arts organization. Transportation needed.

The Shakespeare Theatre, located on the Drew University campus,
offers opportunities to assist with ushering, concessions,
taking tickets, and running our gift shop! Volunteers will
receive a voucher for each commitment that will allow them to
come back and see a show of their choice, free of charge.
Volunteers work in a fun, fast paced environment while serving
as a liaison between the theatre and our patrons. This
opportunity is perfect for those who want to build their resume,
fulfill a community service requirement, or just want to be a
part of the theatre arts! Scheduling is flexible. No minimum
commitment. Opportunities are available May through December!
